As of December 2020, two vaccines have been approved for usage within Canada. Thunder Bay is currently following the province's distribution plan and is in the middle of Phase 1 of vaccine distribution.
Westview Medical does not yet have access to any of the COVID-19 vaccines, nor do we have any idea how soon that will be. We will not have a waiting list of patients to call when the vaccine becomes available (like we sometimes offer for flu shots). Please pay attention to the phone system prompts as well as any updates to our website when it does become available.
According to the image below, we can hypothesize late March 2021 when it will be first accessible to our older adult patients. It will be accessible to all patients by August 2021. In the meantime, we recommend adhering to all public health guidelines to protect yourself and others during this time. For more information, please visit our COVID-19 Update page.
